Over 11,000 preloved pieces have found a new owner through Circle, and more than 3,100 of them sold in just the last 90 days. That is around 35 pieces a day. We looked at what those pieces have in common, so you can decide what to put in your next pickup.
Ralph Lauren is our top seller by a clear margin, accounting for around 9% of all pieces sold in the last 90 days, with a typical time to sell of about 25 days. After that come Adidas (around 5%), Nike (around 4.5%), Levi's and Zara (around 4% each), followed by Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger at close to 3% each.
The pattern is simple: well-known brands with a clear identity, in everyday styles people actually wear.
The biggest categories by share of pieces sold were shirts (around 10%), t-shirts (around 9%), jeans (around 6%), polo shirts, sweaters, jerseys and sneakers (around 4% each) and dresses (around 3.5%).
Some categories do not just sell, they sell quickly:
Jeans (about 64 days), dresses (about 79 days) and sweaters (about 122 days) take longer on average. That does not mean they will not sell. Sweaters in particular are seasonal, and demand is picking up right now (see our trending post).
