How Circle prices your items, and what we're aiming for

How Circle prices your items, and what we're aiming for

Pricing is the question sellers ask us most. Here is what we are trying to achieve, and how your payout works.

Our goal: a price that sells

A price only helps you if the piece sells. Too high and it sits unseen. Too low and you lose value. We aim for the price where a buyer feels it is a good deal and the piece sells at the listed price, with as little discounting as possible.

Over the last 90 days, only about 6% of the pieces we sold went with a discount, and discounts averaged around 3% of sales value. In other words, nearly everything sold at the price it was listed at.

We look at the brand, the type of piece, its condition, current demand, and how similar pieces have performed on Circle.

Where the sweet spot is

Of the pieces listed two to six months ago, items priced between AED 80 and 149 sold through at the highest rate (around 45%), ahead of items under AED 80 (39 to 41%). Higher-priced pieces can still sell very well, especially strong brands in excellent condition, but they are more selective.

How your payout works

Your earnings are a share of the final sale price, after any discount and a processing fee. The share depends on the value of the sale:

Sale price

Store credit

Cash payout

Under AED 250 (Standard)

60%

45%

AED 250 and above (Premium)

65%

50%

Example: a piece that sells for AED 120 earns AED 72 as store credit or AED 54 as cash. A piece that sells for AED 300 earns AED 195 as store credit or AED 150 as cash. (Both figures are before the processing fee and any discount.)

Store credit is the default payout. Cash payouts need a UAE IBAN. Items received before 7 September 2026 stay on the earlier terms until they sell.

Why store credit pays more

Credit stays in the Circle ecosystem, so we can share more of the sale with you. If you also like to shop preloved, it is the better deal.
