Every piece is reviewed before it is listed. Here is what our reviews show, and how to send items that make the cut.
The numbers
Over the last six months, about 7 in 10 items in smaller consignments (up to 10 pieces) were accepted. Larger batches tend to see a lower acceptance rate: around 67% for 26 to 60 items, and around 65% for batches of more than 60.
Why items are not accepted
For smaller consignments, the main reasons were:
Brand eligibility (around 12% of items): unbranded pieces and labels with limited resale demand
Item type (around 4%): categories we do not currently list
How to improve your acceptance rate
Check the label. If a piece is unbranded or the label is unreadable, it is unlikely to be accepted.
Look closely for flaws. Check seams, zips, underarms, cuffs, collars, soles, and hems in good light.
Wash everything. Pieces should be clean and free of strong smells, including smoke and perfume.
Send fewer, better pieces. A carefully chosen batch of your best items will have a higher acceptance rate than a bag of everything.
Lead with what sells. Branded shirts, polos, denim, knitwear, jackets, bags, and sneakers in good condition are the safest bets.
If you are not sure about something, check the Brand Checker on the website and acceptance criteria or just ask our team. We would rather review it than have you leave something out that could have sold.
